TPMS sensors for your car

A TPMS sensor sits inside each wheel and turns on the warning light on your dashboard when a tire runs low. Since the 2008 model year, new cars and light trucks sold in the United States come with them. Pick your car to see the sensors eBay matches to it.

What to check before you buy

  • Match the part number of the sensor in your car, or the radio frequency listed for it: most listings give both, and they must match your car.
  • OEM or programmable: a programmable sensor has to be set up for your car with a TPMS tool, which most tire shops have.
  • After a sensor is changed, the car usually needs a relearn procedure. Your owner's manual explains it.
  • A sensor is changed with the tire off the wheel: plan it with your next tire change or rotation.
